It was assumed that the PS consisted of a generating unit \(including, among others, the synchronous generator\) connected by a high voltage transmission line to a bus. In the presented calculations results, disturbances of the steady state in the form of symmetric and asymmetric short\-circuits in a selected place of the transmission line were assumed. In the generator model, the subtransient asymmetry which during asymmetric short\-circuits results in occurrence of higher harmonics in the waveforms of stator currents and voltages as well as the field current \(also when the phenomenon of magnetic saturation of the generator magnetic cores was not taken into account\) were taken into account.
