In the presented cases, the COMSOL program was used to model the electromagnetic field with the Finite Element Method \(FEM\), while the Matlab program was used to optimize the sensor using the Genetic Algorithm \(AG\). The system used in the work consist of three coaxial coils placed at a distance from each other. In the space between the coils an object can be placed. This is an example of the eddy current transducer, which is to be used to determine the type of material from which the tested object is made. In this model, the geometrical dimensions of the coils are subject to optimization. The objective function has been defined in such a way that the differential voltage on the receiver coils should be as close to zero as possible when there is no object."]
